Congratulations on a great web site. It's wonderful to see familiar faces of old classmates (and even older staff).
I was at SGS from 1953-58. When I left I did a year's secretarial course at Poole College and my first job was at Humphries, Kirk & Miller, Solicitors, Swanage (where I worked with Alan Green). I married in 1960 and went to the Wareham office shortly after, once we were able to move into our own home. Our first daughter was born in 1962 and another daughter at the end of the following year. Both were born at "Everest" in Swanage. I wonder if it's still there?
My husband, who is from Yorkshire, decided he would like to emigrate in 1965 so we came out to New Zealand. I have continued to work in legal offices here and at one time worked also for the Mayor of Auckland (who was a Doctor of Law). I still keep my hand in working from home for an old friend who does employment law - helping people who have been fired! My husband and I did return to UK for a visit in 1980 and also spent a month touring Europe in a second-hand car. I have kept in touch with several friends from my school days - Annie Whittle/Andrews, Linda
Hoare/Aplin, Margaret Audley/Murphy (all of whom have visited NZ), Sybil Slade/Scott and Janice Sheasby.
I enclose photos with this - me on a school trip to Stourton in 1956, and Xmas Day 2002, and some of my classmates at Stourton - Heather Glenwright, Sue Summersell, Pat Spilman and Susan Horsey. Hope these come thru' O.K.
