The role of the Webmaster

There are two parts to the job:

1)    Keep in touch and collect information.    This includes photographs from members, updates from the Committee and information relating to forthcoming events like the reunion and local group meetings

2)    Update the website.    This is easy.    It is done with a programme called Microsoft Front Page which is very similar to Word.    You don't need to know any programming languages or any stuff like that.     You keep a copy of the website on your PC and edit it as much as you like.    Once edited another simple programme allows you to "upload" it on to our server where it can be seen on the Web.

If you live anywhere near Iain Kidson in Fordingbridge tuition can be given.

This job is very important for the future of the Association.    It carries with it Ex Officio membership of the Committee which gets you an annual mini-reunion.
